For a bit of sheer light-hearted pleasure, who better to brighten my days than the excellent Milly Johnson. Her book, The Perfectly Imperfect Woman, is a typical Milly story. One reviewer calls her books the equivalent of a warm hug, and that just sums them up. Her stories and characters make me smile, and what is so wonderful about them is that the characters aren’t perfect – as you might expect from the title of this one. They are ordinary people with kind hearts (mostly!). I enjoyed it enormously, lying on a sunbed after a day of writing. But all Milly's books are good! If you like something that makes you feel that life is good, and doesn't challenge you too much, I would definitely give this - or any of her other novels - a go. https://amzn.to/2J8o1PV
