Another winter warmer recipe for you - although to be honest this is just as good in the summer, as it's meant to be served at room temperature, as the Greeks do.

You can make with either lamb or beef. I had always assumed it should be lamb, but I've read in a few places that the Greeks often make with beef too.

Don't be shy with the spices - this dish can take plenty of cinnamon and nutmeg.
