Rachel was invited to the London Book Fair by KDP Amazon to talk in a seminar about her success with Only the Innocent.

Amazon also arranged a book signing, and copies of Only the Innocent were specially printed by CreateSpace for the event. After the book fair, The Guardian newspaper described Rachel as "the epublishing sensation of 2012".

Background to the novel

For several years, Rachel has been thinking about novels which involve women in murder. Not hot-headed, spur of the moment crimes of passion. But those which are cleverly plotted and superbly implemented. The difficulty was always in thinking of a reason why a normal, rational woman would plan and execute such a killing. Only the Innocent explores the complex relationships and the series of events which led to the conclusion that murder was the only option.
